First published in `1976 in the Workers League paper Workers News and then as a pamphlet, Harry Wicks’ account of the 1926 General Strike is being republished under the Revolutionary History imprint for the strike’s centenary, with the addition of a glossary providing background information for the contemporary reader. Wicks participated in the strike as a railway worker and Communist Party member, becoming a Trotskyist and in 1971 joined the International Socialists.
